We found some steps

They break up the land a bit, and the monotony of digging up nettle roots.

They seem to be set well and in a good position, so we’re leaving them there. Uncovering them was fun.

This is what’s been holding things up

That’s just a sample of some of the junk we’re having to dig out of the field. I didn’t know it was all there under the nettles until we started digging. Now it seems that the whole area will need digging over and clearing out. It’s going to take some time!
